The Signal director takes on a new project; Keanu Reeves to lead Replicas; new release dates for Hail, Caesar! and The Finest Hours; A Man in the Dark gets a director; and Something Wicked This Way Comes has a screenwriter.
Warner Bros has hired William Eubank (The Signal) to direct their forthcoming period drama World Breaker.
Eubank also wrote the script for World Breaker with Phil Gawthorne, and the project is said to follow a medieval Scottish warlord as he and his sons defend their castle. It is apparently described as part Braveheart and part 300.
Considering Eubank has made a name for himself in the low budget sci-fi realm, World Breaker will be a stark departure for the up-and-coming director. It’s for that reason that we’ll be keeping an eye on this one.
