The idea of Damon getting on the big screen with Affleck in a superhero-based flick is actually a very exciting one. The two obviously share a chemistry and relationship unlike many others in the business, so their connection in a movie of this type could go unrivaled. Perhaps Affleck will find a place for his buddy in The Batman script that he’s writing. (Probably not, but no harm in hoping, right?)
For now though, Affleck has got his hands full with his role in Justice League</em>. Set to drop next November, the film will see Affleck’s Batman team up with Ezra Miller’s The Flash, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill’s Superman, Ray Fisher’s Cyborg and Jason Momoa’s Aquaman. The film is directed by Man of Steel and Batman V Superman helmsman Zack Snyder, but aims to improve on the critical reception for both of those DCEU films – uniting the most iconic of DC superheroes on the big screen for the first time, in the process. Let’s hope that Justice League succeeds at doing just that, before Affleck puts his own stamp on the DCEU with The Batman.
